Education Management User Access
Under Settings > Users & Companies > Users, administrators can configure access rights for the Education Management System. The module provides role-based access for Administrator, Faculty, Parent, and Student users, allowing each user to access the features relevant to their role. This helps schools manage permissions and keep education data accessible only to the appropriate users.
School Configuration
Under Education Management > Configuration > School Configuration, administrators can create and manage school records. They can add key school details such as the school name and school code to keep school information organized in Odoo. This configuration provides a central place to maintain the basic details of each school managed through the Education Management module.
Under Education Management > Configuration, administrators can set up the basic information required to manage school operations in Odoo. They can configure details such as students, faculty, parents, religion, noticeboard, document types, grades, mother tongue, courses, and divisions. The configuration also includes standard and medium details, along with options to manage alumni, terminated students, and admission register records.
The Academic Year configuration allows administrators to define years and months used for managing the school's academic periods. They can also configure subjects and elective subjects to organize the academic structure.
For student class management, administrators can configure classes and roll number details under the Assign Roll Number settings. These configurations help keep school, academic, and student information organized and ready for daily use in the Odoo School Management system.
Manage Assigned Assignments
Under Education Management > Assignment > Assign Assignment, administrators can view and manage assignments created for faculty and classes. The assignment list shows key details such as the assignment name, faculty, class, assignment date, due date, and status, making it easier to track assignments from a single Odoo screen.
After entering the assignment details, the user can select the submission type as Hard Copy, Soft Copy, or Both and upload the assignment file when required. Once all the required details are added, click the Active button to activate the assignment and make it available for the selected class.
Submit Assignment by Student
Students can open their assigned work from the Student Assignment section and review the assignment details, including the subject, class, faculty, assignment date, and due date. They can attach their completed homework or assignment answer and submit it through Odoo.
The assignment record also shows the submission type, helping students follow the required submission method and complete their assigned work within the given due date.
Review and Manage Student Assignments by Faculty
Administrators and faculty can review assignments submitted by students. They can check the submitted assignment and use the available workflow options to approve or reject the submission. This helps faculty track student work and manage assignment submissions directly from Odoo.
Manage Student Reminders in Odoo
Administrators can create and manage reminders for students. A reminder can be linked to one or more students and can include a title, date, and description. This can be used to remind students about important activities such as tests, exams, meetings, or other school events.
Administrators can send a reminder directly to the selected students by email using the Send Email option. The reminder includes details such as the faculty, related students, title, date, class, and description, helping students receive timely information about tests, exams, meetings, and other important activities.
Configure Evaluation Management Access Rights
Under Settings > Users & Companies > Users, administrators can assign Education Management System access rights to different user roles. The available roles include Administrator, Faculty, Parent and Student.
Assigning the appropriate access level helps each user work with the evaluation-related features based on their role and responsibilities.
Manage Evaluation Templates
The Evaluation Template menu allows administrators to create and manage evaluation criteria used to assess students and faculty. Users can define evaluation points such as Respect for Family, Behaviour with Others, Attendance in Class, Communication with Students and Effort to Teach Subjects.
Administrators can create evaluation templates by selecting the User Type as Faculty or Student. They can define the evaluation criteria and add multiple rating values with comments, such as Excellent, Very Good, Good, Average and Poor.
Manage Student Evaluations
Under Education Management > Evaluation > Student Evaluation, administrators can view the list of student evaluation records. The list provides a central place to access and manage evaluations for individual students. This helps administrators keep student evaluation records organized and easily accessible.
Administrators can create student evaluations by selecting the student, evaluation date, user type and evaluation user. After entering the required details, they can click Get Question to load the evaluation questions based on the configured evaluation template.
Administrators can review the evaluation questions for a specific student and assign a rating to each question. They can also add remarks to provide additional feedback for each evaluation point. The selected ratings are used to calculate the total evaluation points, making it easier to record and review student performance.
Print Student Evaluation Report
Administrators can generate a Student Evaluation Report from the evaluation record. By selecting Print > Student Evaluation, they can print the student's evaluation details including the recorded ratings and evaluation information. This provides a clear report that can be used for reviewing and maintaining student evaluation records.

Manage Faculty Evaluations
Under Education Management > Evaluation > Faculty Evaluation, administrators can view the list of faculty evaluation records. The list provides a central place to access faculty evaluation information and manage evaluation records for individual faculty members.
Administrators can create faculty evaluations by selecting the faculty, evaluation date, user type and evaluation user. After entering the required details, they can click Get Question to load the evaluation questions based on the configured faculty evaluation template.
Administrators can review the evaluation questions for a specific faculty member and assign a rating to each question. They can also add remarks to provide additional feedback for each evaluation point. The selected ratings are used to calculate the total evaluation points, helping administrators assess faculty performance in a structured way.
After entering the evaluation details and adding the required ratings and remarks, administrators can click the Start button to begin the faculty evaluation process. The evaluation then moves from the Draft stage to the next stage in the evaluation workflow for further processing.
Print Faculty Evaluation Report
Administrators can print the Faculty Evaluation Report from the faculty evaluation record. By selecting Print > Faculty Evaluation, they can generate a report containing the evaluation details for the selected faculty member including the recorded ratings and remarks.
Configure Exam Management Access Rights
Under Settings > Users & Companies > Users, administrators can assign Education Management System access rights to different user roles. The available roles include Administrator, Faculty, Parent and Student.
Manage Regular Exams
Under Education Management > Exam > Exams, administrators can view and manage regular exam records. The exam list displays important details such as the exam code, exam name, exam start date, exam end date, updated date and current status.
Administrators can create regular exams by entering key details such as the exam code, exam name, academic year, grade system, exam start date and exam end date. Under the Class tab, they can add the subjects included in the exam along with the related exam code and subject name.
Administrators can configure the exam schedule based on the selected standard. Under the Exam Schedule tab, they can assign an exam timetable to each standard such as a weekly or monthly exam timetable.
After setting the required exam schedule, administrators can click the Start button to move the exam from the Draft stage to the next stage of the exam workflow.
Once an exam is cancelled, administrators can use the Set to Draft option to reset the exam to the Draft stage. This allows them to make changes to the exam details or update the exam setup before starting the exam again.
Manage Exam Results
Under Education Management > Exam > Exam Result, users can view the list of generated exam results. The list shows key information such as the student name, standard, examination, percentage, grade, obtained total and result status.
Administrators can create an exam result by selecting the examination, academic year, student and standard. They can enter the obtained marks for each subject while the system calculates the total marks, percentage, grade and result status based on the configured grade system.
Once the exam result details are reviewed, administrators can click the Confirm button to confirm the result and move it to the next stage of the exam result workflow.
Administrators or students can use the Re-Evaluation option to review an exam result again. After re-evaluation, the updated marks and related grade, percentage and result details are reflected in the exam result record.
Print Exam Result
Administrators and students can print the Exam Result from the exam result record by selecting Print > Exam Result. This provides a printable report of the student's exam performance and result details for academic records.

Manage Additional Exams
Under Education Management > Exam > Additional Exam, administrators can create and manage additional exams with the required details. The list displays information such as the additional exam name, standard, subject name and exam date.

Administrators can also generate a batch-wise report of additional exam results to review the performance of multiple students together and maintain organized academic records.

Administrators and students can print the Additional Exam Result from the record by selecting Print > Additional Exam Result. The printed report provides the student's additional exam result details for review and record keeping.
Configure Fees Management Access Rights
Under Settings > Users & Companies > Users, administrators can assign Education Management System access rights to different user roles. The available roles include Administrator, Faculty, Parent and Student.
Fees Structure Menu
Under Education Management > Fees > Fees Structure, the admin can view the list of existing fee structures and create a new fee structure by entering the required details.
Fees Receipt Menu
Admin can view the list of fee receipts, including the student name, description, date and payment state.
Admin can send an email notification to the student regarding pending fees by clicking the Send Email button. This helps notify the student about outstanding fee payments.
Admin or student can make the fee payment by clicking the Payment button. The payment can then be processed against the selected fee structure and the corresponding fee amount.

Print Student Receipt
Admin or student can print the student receipt by selecting the Student Receipt option from the Print menu.

Hostel Admission Access Rights
Under User Configuration, the admin can assign Hostel Admission Access to the Manager role. This allows the manager to access and manage hostel admission-related operations.
Hostel Food Menu
The manager can configure the hostel food menu based on weekdays by defining the meals served for breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. This helps maintain and manage the weekly hostel meal schedule.
Hostel Time Periods Menu
The manager can configure the academic year, start date and end date for the hostel time period. By clicking the Generate Months button, the system automatically generates the total month duration between the selected dates.
Warden Menu
Configure Housekeeping Activities
Managers can create and manage housekeeping activities such as cleaning, sanitizing, ironing and checking room facilities from Odoo.

Managers can assign housekeepers to specific floors and rooms, set housekeeping activities and define their working times in Odoo.
Room Facility Menu
Managers can create room facilities in Odoo and set the charges for each facility, such as air conditioning.

Managers can configure room beds in Odoo and update their status as Available or Booked based on room occupancy.
Warden Menu
Managers can view warden details in Odoo, including contact information, work details, department and assigned manager.
Configure Housekeeping Activities
Managers can create and manage housekeeping activities such as cleaning, sanitizing, laundry and checking room facilities in Odoo.

Managers can assign housekeepers to floors and rooms, select housekeeping activities, and set their working times in Odoo.

Managers can create room facilities in Odoo and define charges for each facility, such as air conditioning and other room amenities.
