Project Sub Project Management
Set Project Operation for User
Under Odoo user configuration, you can set the project operation as Project Coordinator to define the user's project management access and responsibilities.
Add Sub Projects
Go to Project → Configuration → Projects. Under the Sub Projects tab, you can add and manage sub-projects linked to the parent project in Odoo.
Display Own and Sub Projects
Users with Project Co-Ordinator access can view their own projects along with their associated sub-projects in Odoo.

You can see another Project Co-Ordinator access group user has show his own projects and sub projects.

Project Task Timer
Start Task Timer
Users can start the task timer by clicking the START TASK button from the Kanban view in Odoo.
Task Timer
Users can easily track how much time they spend on a task in Odoo. By clicking the “START TASK” button, the task timer starts automatically.
Users can see the running timer in both the Task Kanban view and Task Form view. This makes it easy to know how much time has been spent on each task and helps teams track their work more effectively.


End Task Timer
Users can stop the task timer in Odoo by clicking the “END TASK” button on the task Kanban view.
Create Timesheet from Task Timer
When the user clicks the “END TASK” button in Odoo, a pop-up window opens to create a timesheet.
In the pop-up, the user can enter a description for the timesheet and view the timer duration, start date and time, and end date and time. This makes it easy to record the time spent working on the task.
Multi Task Configuration
Under Project > Configuration > Settings, users can enable the “Allow Multi Task” option.

Now user can start multiple task timer at same time.

Automatic Task Status Updates Reports
Daily Task Update Email
users can receive a daily email with the task status for that day. The email includes tasks created by the user and assigned to the user, making it easy to check daily task updates and track work progress in odoo.
Weekly Task Update Email
users can receive a weekly email with the latest task updates. The email shows the status of tasks created by the user and assigned to the user, making it easier to review weekly progress and keep track of pending work in odoo.
Manage Project Documents
Under Project > Documents > Project Documents, users can view all documents attached to different projects in one place.
Users can view the documents in List, Form, and Kanban views. They can also check the Resource Model and Resource Name related to each document and download the required files easily.
Manage Task Documents
Under Project > Documents > Task Documents, users can view all documents attached to different tasks in one place.
Users can view the documents in List, Form, and Kanban views. They can also check the Resource Model and Resource Name for each document and download the required files easily.
Set Project Priority
users can set the priority of each project using three stars. They can select the required priority level to quickly identify important projects and focus on them accordingly.

Project Task Send By Email
In Odoo Project, users can see the “SEND BY EMAIL” button on the project task form.
By clicking this button, users can send the task details by email along with the files and documents attached to the task. This makes it easy to share task information and related documents with customers or team members.

users can receive emails related to project tasks along with the attached files and documents. This helps users easily check task information and access the related attachments directly from the received email.
Mass Update Project Stages
In Odoo Project, users can select multiple project stages from the Stages list view and update them at once.
By clicking Action > Mass Update Project Stages, users can apply the required changes to multiple stages. Users can also view the projects linked to each stage, making it easier to manage project stages in bulk.
Mass Update Project Stages Wizard
users can update multiple projects from the Mass Update Project Stages wizard. First, enable the “Mass Update Project” option, select the required update method, and choose the projects to update.
After selecting the required projects, click “UPDATE” to apply the changes. When the “Add” method is selected, the new projects are added to the stage while keeping the existing projects.
Updated Project Stages
users can view the updated projects under their respective stages. This makes it easy to check which projects have been added or updated after using the Mass Update Project Stages feature.
Mass Update Tasks Details
users can select multiple tasks from the Task list view and update their details at once.
By clicking Action > Mass Update Task, users can update the selected tasks in bulk. This saves time and avoids making the same changes to each task one by one.
Mass Update Task Wizard
the Mass Update Task wizard allows users to update multiple tasks at the same time.
Users can enable the “Change Project” option, select the required Project, and click “UPDATE”. Odoo will then move the selected tasks to the chosen project, saving time when managing many tasks.
Updated Task Projects
users can view the selected tasks after they have been moved to the new project. This makes it easy to check that all selected tasks have been updated and are now linked to the correct project.
Project Tasks Multi Users Assignee
users can assign multiple users to a single task. This makes it easier for team members to work together on the same task and helps ensure that everyone involved can see and manage the task.

Task Delay Notifications - Overdue Task Notification
Configuration for Task Delay Start Notification
Under Project > Configuration > Settings, users can enable the “Delay Task Start Notification” option and set the required number of delay days.
Odoo uses the task start date and the selected delay days to send an email notification when the task is delayed. This helps users keep track of late tasks and take action on time.

Under Project > Configuration > Settings, users can enable the “Delay Task Deadline/Overdue Notification” option and set the required delay deadline days.
Odoo uses the task deadline date and the selected delay days to send an email notification when the task is overdue. This helps users track late tasks and complete them on time.

User can receive an email with important task details, including the task name, project name, deadline date, and assigned user.

User can see the task details, including the initial hours and total hours spent on the task, in the reminder email.

Quick Task Create from Sales
You can create a task directly from a sales order by clicking the "ADD A TASK" button. A popup will open where you can enter the required task details.

Import Project Task from CSV/Excel File
You can import project tasks into Odoo using a CSV or Excel file. The import file should contain the following details:
- Task Name – Name of the task.
- Project ID – ID of the project where the task will be created.
- User – Name of the user assigned to the task.
- Tag – Name of the task tag.
- Deadline Date – Deadline date for the task.
- Description – Description or details of the task.

Import Task Wizard
In the Import Task wizard, you can upload a properly formatted CSV or Excel (XLS) file to import project tasks into Odoo.

Project Own Checklist
Go to Project → Configuration → Project Checklist. Here, you can create a project checklist by entering the checklist name and description.

Added Project Checklist Template
When you select a Project Checklist Template, its checklist items are automatically added to the project.
You can see the checklist progress based on the completed items. Each checklist item has three states: New, Complete, and Cancel. Click the check icon to mark a checklist item as Complete, or click the cancel icon to mark it as Cancelled.

User can see the checklist progress percentage for each project in the Projects list view. The percentage is calculated based on the number of completed checklist items.
