Configure Freight Ports
Users can create and manage freight ports from the Configuration menu. Each port can be configured with details such as port code, name, country, state and supported transport modes including Air, Ocean and Land, along with its active status.
Manage Freight Vessels
Users can create and manage vessel records from the Configuration menu. Each vessel can include details such as its code, name, country, global zone and active status, helping businesses maintain organized vessel information for freight operations.
Manage Freight Airlines
Users can create and manage airline records from the Configuration menu. Each airline can be configured with details such as the airline code, name, country, ICAO code and active status for use in freight operations.
Manage Freight Incoterms
Users can create and manage Incoterms from the Configuration menu. Each Incoterm can be configured with a unique code and name, along with an active status, to define the delivery terms used in freight operations.
Manage Freight Packages
Users can create and manage package types from the Configuration menu. Package records help define the packaging options used for freight shipments, making it easier to select and organize packages while handling freight operations.
Manage Freight Move Types
Users can create and manage move types from the Configuration menu. Each move type can be assigned a code and name, such as Road Freight or Rail Freight, with an active status to control which transport options are available for freight operations.
Manage Freight Services, Customers and Vendors
Users can create and manage freight product services from Freight > Master Data > Services. These services can be used when handling freight bookings and related operations. The Master Data menu also provides dedicated options to manage customers and vendors, keeping key freight business records organized in Odoo.
Create Freight Booking Requests from the Website
Customers can submit freight booking requests directly from the website by opening the Booking menu and clicking Create New Booking. They can also view their previously created booking requests from the same page, making it easy to manage freight booking information through the Odoo website.
Users can create a freight booking by selecting the operation, direction, transport mode and shipment type. They can enter shipper and consignee details, loading and discharge ports, shipping line, vessel, voyage number, date and other freight information such as agent, move type, tracking number and Incoterm. After entering the required details, users can click Book Now to create the freight booking.
Manage Freight Bookings
Users can create and manage freight bookings from the Booking menu. A booking records key shipment details such as import or export direction, transport mode, operation type, shipper, consignee, ports, shipping line, vessel, voyage number, tracking number, move type and Incoterm. Users can also open the booking and view or download its attached freight documents.
Convert Freight Booking into Shipment
Users can convert a freight booking into a shipment by clicking the Convert Shipment button. Once converted, the booking moves through the shipment workflow, with its stage updated accordingly to help users track the shipment progress.
Users can access the created shipment related to a freight booking directly from the Shipment smart button. This provides quick access to the shipment record and helps users track and manage the booking’s shipment details from the same screen.
Freight Shipment
Users can view the created shipment from the freight booking, with the booking details automatically carried over to the shipment. The shipment also provides workflow stages such as Draft, In Progress, Received, In Transit and Delivered, allowing users to update the shipment status as it moves through the freight process.

Add Shipping Order
Users can add shipping order details to a freight shipment from the Orders tab. They can select the Package, enter the Quantity and specify the Operation, along with the shipment's Volume (CBM) and Gross Weight (KG) to keep package and cargo details organized.
Configure Shipping Routes
Users can manage shipping routes in Odoo by selecting the route operation, source location, destination location and transport method. The Routes tab helps users define the movement of freight between locations and keep shipment routing details organized.
Add Shipping Packages
Users can add shipping packages from the Packages tab of the freight order. By clicking Generate from Order, Odoo can automatically create package details based on the related order. Users can review the package description, quantity, operation, volume and gross weight before processing the shipment.
Shipment Services
The Services tab shows all services added to the shipment. Users can add or view service lines with details like vendor, service, quantity, cost, and sale price.
Shipment Customs Details
In the Customs tab, users can enter the Declaration Number, Declaration Date and Customs Clearance Date. Keeping these details in the shipment record makes customs information easy to view and manage during the freight process.
Shipment Tracking Details
Odoo helps users track the progress of a shipment by recording important tracking updates in the Tracking tab. Users can add the shipment Location, Description and Date for each update. This makes it easier to keep a clear record of shipment movements, from pickup to delivery, in one place.
Create Customer Invoice
Users can create a customer invoice for freight services directly from the shipment. By selecting the required service and choosing Create Invoice from the Action menu, Odoo generates the invoice for the customer.
Users can create invoices for different freight parties, including the Agent, Consignee and Shipper. Odoo helps users manage billing for each party involved in the shipment and keep freight service invoices organized.
Users can view the created invoice for a freight shipment service from the shipment record. Odoo keeps the invoice linked to the shipment, making it easy to review billing details and track freight service charges.
Create Vendor Bill
Users can create a vendor bill for freight shipment services directly from the shipment record. By selecting the required service and choosing Create Bill from the Action menu, Odoo generates the vendor bill for the related freight service.
Users can create vendor bills for different freight parties, including the Agent, Consignee and Shipper, based on the related shipment services in Odoo.
Users can view the created vendor bill for the shipment service from the related shipment record in Odoo.
Shipment Accounting
Users can view shipment accounting details in Odoo, including expected bills, actual payments and amounts due for related customer invoices and vendor bills.
Track Shipment
Users can track shipments from the website by entering the Booking Number or Shipment Number to view the latest shipment status in Odoo.
